Why do we put ourselves through this every year? Easily snagging good photographs at Easter, the beach, and Halloween. And then it comes time for the Christmas card and every attempt is thwarted. With every failed attempt, you think to yourself, "there's still time, we'll get it next weekend." And then the next weekend brings even more tears or even more bad weather. I think families should be required to send out a card with their best failed attempt at a photo. That way we'll get a snapshot of how everyone is really doing.
