We had a lovely Thanksgiving in Knoxville. Auntie Kathy came for the big meal, and we had lots of good, quality family time. Each year Scotlen joins in the card playing a little bit more. This year that involved making up her own games and directing everyone on exactly how to play. Scotlen's games involve a lot of random drawing and turning over of cards, and the winner is often Scotlen.
Jonas enjoyed yet another birthday celebration in Knoxville, and he spent the weekend contentedly playing with one toy or another. As soon as Grandmommy would get all of the old little people (choking hazards) and their vehicles back in their bags, he would be back to dump them out all over the floor. The children also had a great time playing on the mini trampoline that Auntie Kathy brought with her for the day.
On Friday, Scotlen was eating an apple in the kitchen and calmly handed Grandmommy something and said, "what's this." Well, "this" turned out to be her first lost tooth. She seemed pretty unimpressed by the whole thing until we told her about the tooth fairy. At that point, the child who gave up naps forever at the age of two declared that she was tired and needed to go to bed. Kyle and I were depressed by the whole tooth-losing event. The evidence that our little girl is growing up continues to mount.
